What race are Guatemalans?

Guatemalans are a diverse population, and there is no single race that can be definitively said to represent all Guatemalans. The country is home to a variety of ethnic groups, including indigenous Maya peoples, mestizos (people of mixed indigenous and European descent), and people of European, African, and Asian descent. The majority of Guatemalans identify as mestizo, with indigenous Maya peoples accounting for the second largest ethnic group and whites accounting for the smallest percentage of the population.
