How many people are in the Malagasy tribes?
There are more than 20 different ethnic groups in Madagascar, each with its own unique customs, beliefs and dialects. The largest of these groups are the Merina, who make up about 25% of the population, the Betsimisaraka, who make up about 15%, and the Tsimihety, who make up about 10%. Other groups include the Sakalava, the Bara, the Mahafaly, and the Antandroy.
