Was Mexico neutral in World War 2?

Mexico was not neutral during World War II. Mexico declared war on the Axis Powers on June 1, 1942. The Mexican declaration of war was made in response to the sinking of two Mexican oil tankers by German U-boats in the Gulf of Mexico. Mexico's declaration also formally made it one of the Allies.
