    • Carnival Cruise Lines, headquartered in Miami, Florida, has 14 cruises to the Mexican Riviera, departing from either Los Angeles or San Diego, California. Cruises range from six days, five nights; to nine days, eight nights; either on the ship, Carnival Splendor or on the Carnival Spirit.

      Accommodations include interior, ocean view, balcony and suite cabins. Cabins are equipped with televisions, hairdryers, 24-hour room service, and private bathrooms with plenty of space for clothing and accessories. The suite cabins also include whirlpool baths and vanity dressing tables.

      Some ports of call to the Mexican Riviera include La Paz, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucus, Mazatlan and Acapulco Mexico. On deck activities includes a water park with water slides, whirlpools, a mini nine-hole golf course and a movie theater.     • Norwegian Cruise Line, also based in Miami, Florida, has a seven-day, round-trip cruise, from Los Angeles to the Mexican Riviera. The cruise stops in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.

      On deck activities include gambling, swimming, hydrotherapy, spas, bowling, video arcades, ping-pong, giant chess games, Broadway shows and dancing. Once at port, excursions include kayaking, zip lining, swimming with dolphins and scuba diving.

      Norwegian Cruise Lines also offers freestyle cruising where passengers can choose different upgraded accommodations, dining times, on-board activities and excursions.

    Disney Cruise Line

    • The Disney Cruise Line has three Mexican Riviera cruises departing from Los Angeles, California. Travelers can choose from seven, eight or 10 nights. Disney's Mexican Riviera ports of calls are Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, Mazatlan, Guaymas, Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta Mexico and Puntarenas, Costa Rica.

      On-board activities feature Disney musicals, swimming, themed bars, nightclubs, lounges, cafes, live music and dancing. Youth activities such as themed clubs, Disney character greetings, live shows and movies are available. Staterooms are designed with the family in mind, with more all around space and storage, split baths and separate sinks.
