Location of Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro stands in northeastern Tanzania, near the Kenyan border. A dormant volcano, it rises 5,895 m (19,341 ft)—Africa's highest peak and the world's tallest free-standing mountain. It's the centerpiece of Kilimanjaro National Park (est. 1973).
