Big Pine Campground

• Big Pine has large campsites surround by wooded areas. The grounds have a shower house, Wi-Fi, gift shop with groceries, laundry facility and full hookups on 90 sites; 40 of these sites have sewer hookup. There is a game room, volleyball court, dump station, playground and a horseshoe pit. From the campgrounds, you can take the bike trails or the hiking trails that lead into the woods that surround the park. Attractions near the campgrounds include Wild Mustang Ranch, Crazy Horse memorial and Mount Rushmore. Dakota Cowboy Inn Restaurant and Sage Creek Grille on Mount Rushmore Road are near the Big Pine campground.

Beaver Lake Campground

• Beaver Lake Campground has 99 sites for RVs and tents, and all sites are surrounded by pines trees which provides seclusion. All sites have a fire pit and picnic table, and if you don't have a tent or a RV, the campground does have cabins for rent. The campgrounds has free Wi-Fi and DSL connections, cable TV, playground for the kids, heated pool, water slide and a recreation hall. There are sites with full hookups, sites with only water and electric, sites with electric only and sites with no hookups. Attractions near the campground include National Museum of Woodcarvings, Jewel Cave and Mickelson Trail. Restaurants on Mount Rushmore Road near the Beaver Lake campground include Pizza Works, Cattleman's Steakhouse and Dark Horse Stew & Brew.

• Located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Horse Thief campground is the ideal family vacation spot. The campground is close to Crazy Horse Monument, Needles Highway and Custer State Park.
