Campgrounds around Valley Forge, Pennsylvania

The Valley Forge region in southeastern Pennsylvania is rich in history with museums, national and state parks, and colonial villages. The area also offers visitors plenty of outdoor activities from river rafting, canoeing, hiking, swimming to golf. Campgrounds in the area provide various amenities and offer everything from primitive to resort-style campsites.

    • Hidden Acres Campground in Coatesville is a place from which to visit many of Pennsylvania’s attractions including Valley Forge, Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Hershey Park and Philadelphia. Amenities include a swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts, catch and release fishing pond, playground, game room, camp store and Laundromat. Each site has camp fire pit and picnic table. RVs are welcome and the campground offers full hook-ups with 30- and 50-amp service.

    Sacony Park Campsites and Cabins

    • Sacony Park Campsites and Cabins is just outside Allentown, within an easy drive to Valley Forge. The campground’s amenities include wooded campsites for tents, trailers and RVs as well as Amish built log cabins for rent. There is an on-site diner/snack bar and camp store as well as outdoor pool. Visitors can fish in the campground’s stocked stream, and enjoy the playground, basketball court and horseshoe pits. The recreation hall has ping pong, pool table and fires on cooler nights. All sites provide a picnic table and fire ring. Pull- thru sites are available. Water and electric sites are available and a dump station is provided.

    • Located 20 miles from Valley Forge, the Philadelphia/West Chester KOA offers RV and tent sites and a variety of camping cabins and lodges. Pull-thru sites with 50-amp service are available, with all sites providing a picnic table and firepit. Free cable TV and WiFi also are available. The campground contains a café, snack bar, Laundromat, convenience store and gift shop. Amenities include mini-golf, a swimming pool, fishing, canoeing, area tours, playground and arcade.

    • The Moyer’s Lake and Campground, located 20 miles from Valley Forge in Coopersville, features a 10-acre fishing and boating lake. The campground offers primitive wooded, lakeside campsites. Each site has picnic table and fireplace. The Moyer’s Lake shop offers groceries, snacks, tackle and bait as well as a game room. Seasonal sites only have water and electric.
