Eagle Cliff Campground & Lodging

• Open each year from April through the end of November, Eagle Cliff Campground offers 70 tent sites, five cabins and 105 sites for recreational vehicles. All of the RV sites measure 45 by 55 feet, and 18 of the sites are pull-throughs. Only 16 of the sites have full hookups, and 12 additional sites provide electricity and water only. The remaining sites have no access to water, sewage or electric power. Wireless Internet is available in some parts of the campground. Restrooms and showers are available for the convenience of campers, as well as a waste dump, firewood and telephones. The Root River runs through the park, allowing guests to fish and boat; the campground offers boat rentals to guests who do not bring their own. A playground is available for children.

Sylvan Park Campground

• Sylvan Park Campground is a public park located near the center of Lanesboro. The park has 60 sites for tenting and 103 sites for RVs. There are 43 sites on gravel and with water and electric hookups. The others have no hookups. Among the sites, 10 are pull-throughs sized 20 by 60 feet, while the others are back-ins 12 by 30 feet. Restrooms and showers are available, as well as a waste dump. A pond on the grounds allows for freshwater fishing, and there is a playground for children. No reservations are accepted for the campground.

Old Barn Resort

• Located in nearby Preston, the Old Barn Resort is less than 10 miles southeast of Lanesboro (14 minutes away by car). The campground is open from April through November. The park offers 100 grassy RV sites, all of which are back-ins sized 30 by 60 feet. All of the sites have electric and water hookups, but only 20 have sewage. There are 40 tent sites on the property as well. Wireless Internet is available in some parts of the resort. The bathrooms at the resort have coin-operated showers and a laundry facility. The campground provides a waste dump and firewood, and also has a small store that sells basic groceries. There is also a restaurant at the park, serving dinner daily. Guests can fish or boat in the Root River or swim in the heated pool. A golf course, horseshoe pit, playground and game room are also found on the property.
