Hastings Commons is in the heart of Hastings. Although there are no amenities on the campground, the town's various restaurants, shops, grocery stores and gasoline stations are easily accessible. The campground has 30 RV sites with full hookups, spots for visitors' mobile homes and RVs, and mobile homes for sale.

Greenwood Campgrounds is 4 miles south of the center of Hastings. There are large areas, some with shade, to set up tents. This campground also has 85 sites for RVs. Amenities include pool access, electric (30/40 amp), water and sewer hookups, shower facilities, and small stands for snacks and supplies. The campground is near the water, so guests can boat and fish. The park accepts pets.

Afton State Park Campground is 10 miles north of the center of Hastings. It rests on the shore of the St. Croix River, making it ideal for travelers looking to boat, fish and swim. Twenty-eight sites are available year-round. Both wood and water hookups are available for each location. Amenities include bathroom facilities, a gift shop, a visitor center, both an outdoor and indoor picnic area, courts for volleyball, and horseshoes, a golf course within 10 miles of the site, and trails for hiking and biking.

Camp Galilee is 6 miles northwest of Hastings and is in the Mississippi National River and Recreation area. It is a spacious, wooded area that's well-suited for setting up tents. Camp Galilee is on Spring Lake, the body of water that separates the park from Hastings, so there is access to boating and fishing. The site also includes trails that are good for hiking and biking.
