Campgrounds Near St. Cloud, Minnesota

Incorporated in 1856, St. Cloud, Minnesota, is 60 miles west of Minneapolis in Stearns County. The city is home to a variety of tourist attractions, such as Clemens Gardens, Riverside Park and the Summerland Family Fun Park. Visitors to the St. Cloud area have a variety of choices for accommodations, including campgrounds.

    • St. Cloud Campground & RV Park is in the eastern part of St. Cloud, six miles from downtown. The park has 102 camp sites, 45 of which are pull-throughs, sized 35 feet by 70 feet. The remaining back-ins measure 35 feet by 55 feet. Seventy-seven sites have full hookups, while the remaining spots offer none. Wireless Internet is available throughout the park. On-site amenities include restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a waste dump, public phones, an ATM and firewood. The campground also has a lodge that sells snacks, propane, RV supplies and basic groceries. An in-ground heated pool is available for guests, as well as a game room, horseshoe pit and playground. The campground is open from May to mid-October.

    El Rancho Manana Campground & Riding Stable

    • El Rancho Manana Campground & Riding Stable is 20 miles from St. Cloud in the town of Richmond (approximately 30 minutes by car). Founded in 1963, the campground has 170 sites for tents and recreational vehicles. Twenty of the sites are pull-throughs and measure 28 feet by 40 feet. The back-in spaces are 28 feet by 35 feet. The campground offers 30 sites with full hookups and 60 additional spots with electric only. A waste dump is available on the property as well as a mobile dumping station, though there is an added fee for the latter. Long Lake is on-site and provides opportunities for fishing, boating and swimming. Boat rentals are available. The campground also has a stable, with horseback trail rides offered Wednesdays through Sundays. A playground, game room, trolley and wagon rides are also on-site for recreation, and each weekend in the summer, the recreational center hosts a craft-making session for children. The park is open from May to October.

    Two Rivers Campground & Tubing

    • Two Rivers Campground & Tubing is approximately 15 miles (28 minutes by car) from St. Cloud in Royalton. The campground has 191 spaces, all with electric and water hookups. About half of the sites have sewage connections, and a waste dump is on the property for the remaining spots. Twenty-five of the camp's spaces are pull-throughs, and all of the spots measure 55 feet by 70 feet. Wireless Internet access, picnic tables and fire rings are available at every site. The Platte River borders the campground, allowing you to enjoy freshwater fishing and swimming, as well as boating, canoeing or kayaking in your own craft or one rented on the property. Tubing on the Platte is a popular past-time at Two Rivers as well. The campground features a 2,200-square-foot pool and a children's pool, showers and restrooms, laundry facilities, a playground and a basketball court.
