How many years has New York been around till today?

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, New York has been around for approximately 390 years. The area was first settled by Europeans in the 17th century, and the city of New York was officially founded in 1624. However, the history of human settlement in the region dates back much further, with evidence of Native American habitation in the area for thousands of years prior to European arrival.
