How big is Auckland Airport?

Auckland Airport covers 1,200 hectares (3,000 acres) of reclaimed land, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of the city centre. Facilities include two terminals, a five-star hotel, several lounges and retail plazas.

There are three runways available:

- 05L/23R (3,068 m × 45 m),

- 05R/23L (2,250 m × 45 m),

- 15/33 (2,750 m × 60 m).

The airport is capable of handling more than 10 million passengers per year.
