When did the lenape Indians first appear in New Jersey?

The Lenape inhabited what is now New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania for at least 10,000 years, from 10,000 to 12,000 BCE until the first European settlements in the 17th century. They called the area Lenapehoking (“Lenape land”), and it covered portions of what is today New York, New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
