Hamilton Island is a continental island located in the Whitsunday Islands National Park, Queensland, Australia. It is approximately 1,400 kilometres north of Brisbane and 560 kilometres north of Mackay. According to the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics data, the population of Hamilton Island at June 2021 was 1,225 people, 97.2% were Australian citizens and 48.1% of these residents are female.
