Where are the Rockaways?

The Rockaways are a peninsula in the New York City borough of Queens that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean. This popular summer destination contains nine different neighborhoods named "The Rockaways" — Broad Channel, Breezy Point, Belle Harbor, Neponsit, Roxbury, Far Rockaway, Edgemere, Arverne, and Rockaway Park, from west to east along the peninsula.
