Where is Truckee located?

Truckee is a town in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Placer County, California. The town is located at the junction of State Route 89 and State Route 267, approximately 115 miles (185 kilometers) northeast of Sacramento and 20 miles (32 kilometers) southwest of Lake Tahoe. Truckee is a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to Lake Tahoe, as well as its many outdoor recreation opportunities, such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and fishing.
