Still some are just in town briefly for a business meeting. Whatever the reason for their travel, visitors can rest assured that Atlanta has its share of affordable upscale dining options.
  1. Agave

    • Located in the resurgent Cabbagetown neighborhood, Agave is in the heart of the community at the historic Cotton Mill general store building. Named for the plant which tequila is derived from, the bar features nearly 100 different tequilas to sample. You will find familiar brands like Patron as well as harder to fine tequilas like Centenario Selection Anejo or Frida Kahlo Silver.

The food is also remarkable, as you might expect from an establishment that has been named Best Southwestern Restaurant in several local publications. Owing this honor to dishes like the New Mexican rack of lamb which is served with a red chile puree and corn relish. Other inventive options are the spicy tequila anejo shrimp, which are sauteed with a lime-tequila cream sauce and jalapeno grits.
