Toronto’s Air Canada Centre (ACC), which opened in 1999, is one of Canada’s leading sports and entertainment venues. It’s home to three Toronto sports teams—hockey’s Maple Leafs, basketball’s Raptors and lacrosse’s Toronto Rock—and hosts concerts and shows by some of the world’s greatest entertainers.     Air Canada Club

    • This striking eatery, also located within the ACC, dishes up fine dining, as well as an eye-catching backlit onyx bar that stretches 75 feet in length. The specialty here is comfort food, including entrees such as barbecued baby back ribs, duck confit tacos and prime rib. Contemporary in design, the walls of the club’s dining room are covered with photos of sports and entertainment celebrities.

    Boathouse Grill

    • Overlooking Toronto’s harbor and Lake Ontario and located only a quarter-mile from the ACC, the Boathouse has an eclectic menu certain to satisfy almost any taste. In addition to a wide array of appetizers and salads, the restaurant offers such diverse entrees as grilled salmon, blackened mahi-mahi, roast chicken, baby back ribs and a full range of steak offerings.

    • Only a block or two north of the ACC, this popular Italian eatery is distinguished by its warm and inviting decor, highlighted by an impressive mahogany bar. Acqua, presided over by chef Robert Buchanan, boasts more than 250 wine vintages and a wide array of tempting food choices that goes well beyond the usual Italian eatery’s fare. Entrees include roasted skate with leeks, veal chop with porcini mustard and beef tenderloin with foie gras.

    Pier 4 Storehouse Restaurant

    • Overlooking Toronto Harbour and located a half-mile from the ACC, this popular eatery has been feeding Toronto residents and visitors since 1978. True to its nautical theme, Pier 4’s menu offers plenty of seafood, but there is a wide array of other choices as well. Other entrees include steaks, baby back ribs and chicken supreme forestiere.
