Located in eastern Scarborough, the Toronto Zoo is a large conservatory with over 5,000 species and 600 miles of walking trails. At 710 square miles, it claims to be one of the largest zoos in the world. Highlights of the zoo include a polar bear habitat, a troop of western lowland gorillas and several attractions specifically designed for kids. The zoo is open every day of the year except Christmas.
