A 23-feet high parabolic dome greets guests at the Villa Dome Quixote, where guests sleep in rooms or dome-shaped cottages, reminiscent of traditional beehives, which are furnished in a simple, contemporary style. A shared guest kitchen also is available for guests. These prototypes for a new form of structural engineering, framed from waste wood, have won many awards, including the 2003 Outstanding Achievement in Environmental Engineering: Design, Construction and Monitoring category" from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. There is an outdoor pool and cedar sauna. Rates start at $60 per night for rooms and $115 per night for cottages.

Four wooden cottages are available at Loren Oldham's lakefront Cottages. Two have three bedrooms and two have two bedrooms. According to Oldham's website, each cottage has "BBQ grill, telephone, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, washer/dryer, TV/DVD player and dishes and utensils. Maple Cottage includes a dishwasher, and Creekside Cottage includes a fireplace". Weekly rates start at $632.
