St Elmo, Colorado, is a former gold- and silver-mining town that has been largely uninhabited since 1922. Located east of downtown St. Elmo, La Roca De Tiza offers guests the opportunity to stay in an a lodge located between two 14,000 mountains in the San Isabel National Forest. Guests of the lodge's three rooms receive a full breakfast and complimentary wine and fruit. The chef takes special meal requests, including low-fat and vegetarian options. In addition to a full-service spa, all guests at the inn receive complementary use of on-site hot springs, soaking pools and a dry sauna 24 hours a day. Rooms are available with two double beds starting at $97 per night, and rooms with a single king bed are available starting at $102 per night as of September 2010. The lodge requires a minimum two-night stay on the weekends and during holidays and offers discounts for stays of three nights or more during off-peak dates.
