How deep is Smith Mountain Lake?

Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia has a maximum depth of approximately 298 feet (91 meters). It is one of the deepest reservoirs in the eastern United States and is known for its deepwater bass fishing. The main channel of the lake runs from the dam at the western end to the Smith Mountain Bridge at the eastern end, and this portion of the lake contains the deepest water.
