There are no alligators in Blue Ridge Mountains. Alligators are found in freshwater rivers, lakes, wetlands, swamps, and coastal marshes of Southeastern United States, particularly North Carolina and South Carolina. The Blue Ridge Mountains span through Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and the West of Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, which are outside of the natural habitat for alligators.
