The longest mountain chain in the world is the Andes mountain range, located on the western side of South America. The Andes mountains are over 8,000 miles long and run from Venezuela all the way to Chile, passing through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina. The Rocky Mountains, located in western North America, are about 3,000 miles long.
