Pawtuckaway Lake is located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, within Pawtuckaway State Park near the town of Nottingham.
The lake was enlarged by a dam on the Pawtuckaway River (originally a natural pond). It's a popular destination for swimming, kayaking, fishing (bass, pickerel, perch), camping, and hiking on surrounding trails. The park also features a distinctive ring dike geological formation—remnants of an ancient volcanic complex.
