The Desert Country Wine Tours runs seven days a week during the months of April to October. For the wine tour, you and your group will be picked up at a location specified by you. You will then be driven to wineries of your choice, or you can visit establishments recommended by the tour guide. While on the tour, you will stop for lunch at a local winery restaurant. Tours must be paid for by cash only; credit cards are not accepted.
If you decide to go on the three-hour tour, you will depart at either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. On this tour, you will visit four to six wineries either requested by you or suggested by your tour guide. On the tour, you will sample a variety of wines and have lunch or dinner at your own expense at a winery restaurant. If you choose the morning tour, you can expect to arrive back at your original destination by 1 p.m. and if you choose the 2 p.m. tour, you can expect to be back by 5 p.m.
The four-hour tour leaves at 10 a.m. On this tour, you will visit four to six wineries. You will not only get to sample wines, but you will also learn about the wine making process and meet the people who make the wine. During the tour, you will stop and have lunch at a winery restaurant at your own expense. You will be dropped off at your starting point by 2 p.m.
The five hour tour departs at 10 a.m. It is recommended that you have a nice, large breakfast before beginning this tour as you will be sampling a wide variety of wines throughout the day. For this tour, you have a choice of the wine regions you want to visit. The choices are the Wineries of Naramata Bench, the Golden Mile or Black Sage Road. During the tour, you will stop for lunch at a winery restaurant at your expense. If you embark on this tour, you can expect to be back at your original location by 3 p.m.
