What areas on Earth do not belong to any country?

* Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica: This is the largest unclaimed territory on Earth, covering an area of over 1.6 million square kilometers (620,000 square miles). It is located in West Antarctica and is claimed by neither Chile nor Argentina.

* Bir Tawil, Egypt and Sudan: This is a small area of land located between the borders of Egypt and Sudan, covering an area of about 2,060 square kilometers (800 square miles). It is not claimed by either country.

* The Antarctic Treaty Area: This area includes all land south of latitude 60 south, including Antarctica and its surrounding islands. The Antarctic Treaty, signed in 1959, prohibits any country from claiming sovereignty over any part of this area.

* The High Seas: The high seas are the parts of the ocean that are not within the territorial waters of any country. They cover about 64% of the Earth's surface.

* Outer Space: Outer space is not governed by any country and is not subject to any national sovereignty.
