Nowhere in Texas is tornado-free. However, the southern Gulf Coast (Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Rio Grande Valley) has the lowest frequency. Tornadoes occur statewide; risk rises northward (Panhandle, North Texas, Red River Valley). Always have a safety plan.
