Instructions

    • 1

Support a healthy environment. Gather a group of friends together for a beach clean up day at your local beach. Help the environment even more by carpooling to the beach together in one or two vehicles rather than having everyone drive separately.

    • 2

Wear grungy clothes. The last thing you want is gross beach litter or smelly seaweed on your nicest outfit. Wear something you won't mind getting dirty. Have rubber gloves, garbage bags and hand sanitizer on hand for the clean up as well. Tuck your swim suit or trunks into a bag to bring with you for after the clean up.

    • 3

Stay hydrated. Since you'll be working out in the hot sun, it's important to make sure your body has the fluids it needs. Bring along a cooler filled with bottled waters.

    • 4

Comb the beach collecting trash. Consider putting the cans and bottles you find in separate bags for recycling. If you find hazardous items such as needles, be sure that you don't pick them up with your hands. Bury any large deposits of seaweed.
