What is the location of Mt Everest?

Mt Everest is located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas. The mountain straddles the international border between China and Nepal, with its peak lying on the border between the two countries. The southern base of Mt Everest is in Nepal and the northern side lies in China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
