Where is Choquequirao located?

Choquequirao is an ancient Inca city located in the Cusco Region of Peru, specifically in the Santa Teresa District, within the Cusco Province. It is situated in the Vilcabamba mountain range, approximately 2,350 meters (7,710 feet) above sea level, and is surrounded by dense cloud forest and steep valleys. Choquequirao can be reached by a challenging multi-day trek or by horseback from the town of Cachora, located about 150 kilometers (93 miles) northwest of Cusco.
