What mountains southern part of Missouri?

The Ozark Mountains are a physiographic region in the U.S. states of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The mountains formed approximately 350 to 380 million years ago when a shallow inland sea covered the entire North American continent. In time, the sea shifted southwest, leaving behind layers of sedimentary rocks that were gradually uplifted to form the Ozarks.
