What are the two most beautiful places in Uruguay?

Colonia del Sacramento

Colonia del Sacramento is a historic city located in the southwestern part of Uruguay, on the Río de la Plata. It was founded by the Portuguese in 1680 and served as their main stronghold in the region until it was captured by the Spanish in 1777. The city is known for its well-preserved colonial architecture, including the Barrio Histórico (Historic District), which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The district is home to many 18th-century buildings, including the Iglesia Matriz (Main Church), the Cabildo (Town Hall), and the Museo Portugués (Portuguese Museum).

Punta del Este

Punta del Este is a popular resort city located on the southeastern coast of Uruguay. It is known for its beautiful beaches, luxurious hotels, and lively nightlife. The city is also home to several museums and art galleries, as well as a number of historic sites, including the Iglesia de la Candelaria (Church of the Candlemas) and the Faro de Punta del Este (Punta del Este Lighthouse).
