Gyeongbokgung Palace is the largest of the Five Grand Palaces built during the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). It was first constructed in 1395 and served as the main palace of the Joseon kings. The palace complex consists of over 300 buildings, including the throne hall, royal apartments, and various administrative offices. Gyeongbokgung Palace was destroyed during the Imjin War (1592-1598) and was later rebuilt in the 19th century. Today, it is a popular tourist destination and a symbol of Korean culture and history.
2. Changdeokgung Palace
Changdeokgung Palace is another one of the Five Grand Palaces built during the Joseon dynasty. It was constructed in 1405 and served as a secondary palace to Gyeongbokgung Palace. Changdeokgung Palace is known for its beautiful gardens, which are considered to be some of the most beautiful in Korea. The palace complex also houses several important buildings, including the Injeongjeon Hall, the Seonjeongjeon Hall, and the Daejojeon Hall. Changdeokgung Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
3. Bulguksa Temple
Bulguksa Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Gyeongju, South Korea. It was built in 751 during the Silla dynasty (57 BC-935 AD). Bulguksa Temple is one of the most important Buddhist temples in Korea and is considered to be a masterpiece of Korean architecture. The temple complex consists of several buildings, including the Daeungjeon Hall, the Seokgatap Pagoda, and the Dabotap Pagoda. Bulguksa Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
