Why baguio is cooler than manila?

There are several reasons why Baguio is cooler than Manila:

1. Elevation: Baguio is located at a much higher elevation than Manila. Baguio's elevation ranges from 1,200 to 1,600 meters above sea level, while Manila is only a few meters above sea level. The higher elevation of Baguio means that it experiences a cooler climate than Manila.

2. Distance from the sea: Baguio is located farther away from the sea than Manila. This means that it is less influenced by the warm ocean currents that affect Manila's climate.

3. Surrounding mountains: Baguio is surrounded by mountains, which help to block the warm air from the lowlands. The mountains also provide a natural barrier against the strong winds that can sometimes occur in Manila.

4. Vegetation: Baguio has a much more dense vegetation than Manila. The trees and plants in Baguio help to provide shade and cool the air.

All of these factors contribute to the cooler climate of Baguio compared to Manila.
