When did the golden age of Japan rise?

The golden age of Japan, also known as the Heian period, lasted from 794 to 1185 AD. During this time, Japan experienced a remarkable cultural and artistic flourishing. The imperial court in Kyoto became a centre of learning and refinement, and the arts of poetry, painting and music thrived. The Heian period is also known for its elaborate court rituals and ceremonies, as well as the development of a unique form of Buddhism known as Pure Land Buddhism.
