Yes. Taiwan is mostly within the tropical zone. The Tropic of Cancer (the 23°27′ latitude), passes through southern cities of Tropic of Cancer Monument in Chiayi City and Dapeng Bay of Pingtung County. Northern Taiwan is subtropical whereas southern Taiwan features a tropical climate.
