Where is the Gulf of California located?

The Gulf of California, also known as the Sea of Cortez, is located between the Mexican state of Baja California and the mainland states of Sonora and Sinaloa. It is a narrow, elongated body of water that is about 1,200 kilometers (750 miles) long and 160 kilometers (100 miles) wide at its widest point.
