How many battles were there in the pacific war?

The Pacific War, which took place from 1941 to 1945, saw numerous military engagements both on land and sea. It is difficult to provide an exact figure for the total number of battles that occurred during this conflict. Different sources may categorise or group events differently, and smaller engagements or skirmishes within larger operations may or may not be counted separately.
