What is most of the floor North Pacific Ocean covered with?

The floor of the North Pacific Ocean is covered mostly with abyssal plains, which are flat, sediment-covered areas that are found at depths of around 4,500 to 6,000 meters (15,000 to 20,000 feet). These plains were formed by the deposition of sediment from the surrounding continents and islands, as well as from the remains of marine organisms that have settled to the bottom of the ocean. The abyssal plains are also home to a variety of sea life, including fish, squid, and octopuses.
