The main Olympic site for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London was at the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London. The Olympic Park covered an area of 2.5 square kilometers (1.0 square mile) and included the Olympic Stadium, the Aquatics Centre, the Basketball Arena, the Copper Box Arena, the Velodrome, and the Olympic Village.
