Monopoly's True Origins
Darrow's version was based on The Landlord's Game (1904) by Elizabeth Magie — a Georgist critique of monopolies. Darrow learned it from Quaker friends in Atlantic City who had localized the street names. He commercialized, patented, and sold it as his own.
