Why did King David want to move the capital of Kingdom Israel?

There is no record in the Bible or any historical texts to suggest that King David had the intention to move the capital of the Kingdom of Israel. Jerusalem remained the capital of the Kingdom of Israel and later the Kingdom of Judah during David's time.
