How did the dutch react to british claiming Singapore and why?

There is no evidence of the Dutch reacting to the British claiming Singapore.

The Dutch were no longer a ruling force in Singapore after the Anglo-Dutch Treaty of 1824, in which the Dutch relinquished control of Singapore and Malacca to the British East India Company in exchange for Bencoolen in Sumatra.
