How many people visit Scotland each year?

According to the latest figures from VisitScotland, there were a total of 30.8 million overnight visits to Scotland in 2019, an increase of 6% compared to the previous year. Of these, 2.5 million were from overseas visitors, while the remaining 28.3 million were from within the UK. The majority of overseas visitors came from the United States (1.1 million), Germany (450,000), France (380,000), and Canada (330,000).
