Is there a nuclear power station in the Scotland?

Yes. There are three working nuclear power stations in Scotland.

- Torness Nuclear Power Station, located on the coast of East Lothian, has two advanced gas-cooled reactors (AGRs) with a combined capacity of 1,275 megawatts (MW).

- Hunterston B Nuclear Power Station, situated in North Ayrshire, also operates two AGRs, with a total generation capacity of 1,245 MW.

- Dounreay Nuclear Power Development Establishment in Caithness was operated three experimental nuclear power reactors but these have been decommissioned and the site is currently being cleaned up.
