Who is more popular Duke or North Carolina?

Duke and North Carolina are two of the most popular college basketball teams in the United States. They have a long history of rivalry, and their games are often referred to as the "Tobacco Road Rivalry."

In terms of overall popularity, it is difficult to say which team is more popular. Both teams have a large and passionate fan base, and their games often draw large crowds. However, there are some factors that may give Duke a slight edge in popularity.

* National Championships: Duke has won five national championships, while North Carolina has won six. This gives Duke a slight edge in terms of overall success.

* Player Success: Duke has produced a number of successful NBA players, including Kyrie Irving, Zion Williamson, and Jayson Tatum. North Carolina has also produced a number of successful NBA players, but Duke may have a slight edge in this area.

* Media Coverage: Duke tends to receive more media coverage than North Carolina. This is likely due to the fact that Duke is located in a larger media market (Durham, North Carolina) than North Carolina (Chapel Hill, North Carolina).

In conclusion, it is difficult to say definitively which team is more popular. However, Duke may have a slight edge in terms of overall popularity due to their national championships, player success, and media coverage.
