Is the England and United Kingdom colonial power same?
England and the United Kingdom (UK) are not the same when it comes to colonial power. While England is a constituent country of the UK, the UK as a whole is the entity that was responsible for colonising various parts of the world during the British Empire. The British Empire was a global network of colonies, dependencies and protectorates controlled by the United Kingdom. It was one of the largest empires in history and reached its peak in the early 20th century, covering roughly 25% of the world's land area and overseeing the lives of roughly 500 million people.
