How many buildings are taller than the Empire State Building?

As of my most recent update in September 2021, there were 118 completed buildings that are taller than the Empire State Building. These include:

- Shanghai Tower (Shanghai, China): 632 m (2,073 ft)

- Abraj Al-Bait Clock Tower (Mecca, Saudi Arabia): 601 m (1,972 ft)

- Ping An Finance Center (Shenzhen, China): 599.1 m (1,966 ft)

- Lotte World Tower (Seoul, South Korea): 555.7 m (1,823 ft)

- One World Trade Center (New York City, USA): 541.3 m (1,776 ft)

- Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre (Guangzhou, China): 530 m (1,739 ft)

- Tianjin CTF Finance Centre (Tianjin, China): 530 m (1,739 ft)

- China Zun (Beijing, China): 528 m (1,732 ft)
