The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: Height and Location Clarified

The iconic Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is not in California. It is located at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida (Walt Disney World Resort).

The attraction's signature drop sequence features a 130-foot (40-meter) plunge—equivalent to a 13-story building. The ride system uses high-speed elevator technology to achieve faster-than-gravity drops, creating intense "airtime" sensations.

Note: Disneyland in Anaheim, California, formerly hosted a similar attraction (The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, 2004–2017), which was rethemed to Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! with a similar drop profile. The original Tower of Terror remains at Disney's Hollywood Studios (Florida), Tokyo DisneySea, and Walt Disney Studios Park (Paris).
